Make-A-Wish Helps Little Debbie Darling, 8, Fulfill Lifelong Dream of Rioting in the Streets with Anarchist Collective

Then the Riot Police Happened.

AUSTIN, TX — When most kids wish to meet a celebrity or visit Disney World, 8-year-old Debbie Darling had something a little more flammable in mind.

“I just wanted to scream at the cops and light a trash can on fire,” said Darling, currently battling Stage 3 neuroblastoma and America’s equally metastatic healthcare system. “Also, to defund the state and maybe redistribute some wealth.”

Thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and a surprisingly well-organized chapter of the anarcho-syndicalist collective “No Kings,” little Debbie got exactly that — and more. Last Saturday, donning a custom-fitted black balaclava and a size-small tactical vest with “ACAB 4 LIFE” scrawled in pink glitter glue, Debbie led a jubilant anti-capitalist march down Congress Avenue.

The highlight? Hurling a biodegradable Molotov cocktail (banana smoothie in a mason jar) into the lobby of a Wells Fargo branch — cheered on by 300 masked comrades and one emotionally-supportive therapy pony named “General Strikes.”

“She’s an inspiration,” said CrustRat42, a No Kings member who legally changed his name to a Guy Fawkes emoji. “She brought more strategy and heart to our riot than anyone since the ‘Fry’s Electronics Sit-In of 2019.’ She’s our Rosa Parks, but with a Hello Kitty lunchbox and a megaphone that screams, ‘PROPERTY IS THEFT!’”

The Wish Heard ’Round the Commune

According to Make-A-Wish coordinator Linda McPherson, the request initially raised eyebrows.

“She said, and I quote, ‘I want to topple the oligarchy and toss a brick through the Starbucks window where the manager called my mom ‘ma’am’ in a sexist tone,’” McPherson said. “We were hesitant at first, but after consulting with legal and our new Director of Chaotic Neutral Public Relations, we gave the green light.”

What followed was a whirlwind week of training and prepping. Debbie received a crash course in direct action from local legends like “Dumpster Dave” and “Comrade Susan,” who taught her how to chant, march in zig-zags, and write a manifesto in crayon.

Her final wish included:

  • A customized tricycle equipped with a smoke bomb launcher

  • A vegan snack tent dubbed “Mutual Aids & Lemonades”

  • A temporary “Free Zone” established outside an Applebee’s

  • The ceremonial setting aflame of an Elon Musk piñata stuffed with monopoly money and Red Bull coupons

“She’s just the sweetest little anarchist I’ve ever met,” said Susan “No-Gods-No-Masters” Morales, 56, who helped lead the parade of protesters. “She drew little skulls on our protest signs and gave us friendship bracelets that said things like ‘FTP,’ ‘DEATH 2 EMPIRE,’ and ‘HUGZ.’”

The crowd sang a heartfelt, off-key rendition of “This Land Is Not Your Land” while Debbie, perched atop a milk crate podium, delivered a moving speech: “My doctor said I have six months left, so I say let’s overthrow the landlords this week. Also, I want a puppy.”

But Then Came the State

Lifelong Dream of Rioting: However, as the revolutionary merriment reached its peak — and Debbie led a conga line of anarchists through a Cheesecake Factory patio while chanting “No landlords, no dessert!” the familiar rumble of armored police vehicles echoed through the streets.

According to reports, the riot police arrived with “non-lethal” weapons, unlimited overtime, and very lethal attitudes. Within minutes, what had been a family-friendly anti-capitalist block party turned into a scene ripped from

Children of Men meets Sesame Street After Dark.

Debbie’s trike was overturned. Her glitter-covered smoke bombs were stomped underfoot. The therapy pony was last seen galloping toward Pflugerville.

“They teargassed a bouncy castle,” one protestor screamed while being zip-tied next to a face-painted juggler holding a sign that read 'Burn the Fed, Not the Planet.'

Eyewitnesses say Debbie was trying to shield her plush Che Guevara doll when she was tackled to the pavement by a 240-pound officer named “Brad,” whose badge number was allegedly just a QR code linking to Blue Lives Matter merch.

The footage — now viral on TikTok under #BabyMarxist — shows her screaming, “I have leukemia and LEGIT GRIEVANCES,” before disappearing beneath a pile of riot shields and broken dreams.

Brutality, But Make It Symbolic

“She was just a child,” sobbed Linda McPherson from behind a barricade of overturned compost bins. “She wanted to die peacefully surrounded by family… not zip-tied to a traffic cone next to a guy named ‘Trash Jesus’ singing the Internationale.”

The Austin Police Department issued a statement Monday morning:

“We take all threats seriously, even whimsical ones shouted by terminally ill minors. Public order is sacred, even if it means tackling a girl holding a sign that says ‘Hug the World, Punch a CEO.’”

Debbie’s Legacy

Miraculously, Debbie survived her brush with America’s tactical cosplay division and was released into her mother's care after a 12-hour detainment and one accidental pepper spraying of a local news weatherman.

Back home, bruised but unbowed, Debbie issued a short statement:

“The state tried to silence me, but I have more crayons. More glitter. And I’m not done yet.”

No Kings has announced a new initiative in her honor: The Debbie Darling Direct Action Coloring Book, with such pages as “Decorate Your Own Protest Sign!” and “Which Dumpster Will You Live In After College?”

Make-A-Wish, for its part, says it's reevaluating how it handles “revolution-themed wishes” but won’t rule out future collaborations with anarchist groups, as long as the violence remains “mostly symbolic and extremely photogenic.”
