Miami Police Department Reconsiders Hiring Anyone Who Thinks "Protect and Serve" is Just a Suggestion

Miami, FL – In what can only be described as the worst episode of Cops ever filmed, a female Miami police officer was suspended after she decided that watching a man get beaten with a bicycle wasn’t quite enough to warrant getting out of her air-conditioned patrol car.

The incident, which occurred last week, has reignited the age-old debate: Should women be police officers? And by "debate," we mean angry men on Twitter screaming into the void.

Female Cop Suspended- The Incident: A Masterclass in Passive Policing

According to NBC6, here’s how it went down:

  1. Driver stops in the middle of the road (already a bold move in Miami traffic).

  2. Gets out to talk to the officer (presumably to ask, "Hey, is it cool if I park here?").

  3. Gets ambushed by a mob who proceed to beat him with a bicycle (because nothing says "street justice" like using a Schwinn as a weapon).

  4. Female officer watches from her car like it’s a Netflix documentary she’s not that into.

Only when backup arrived did she finally exit her vehicle—likely muttering, "Ugh, fine, I guess I’ll do my job now."

Miami Police Chief Manuel Morales issued a statement saying:

"We take great pride in upholding our responsibility to protect and serve… unless, you know, it looks kinda scary out there."

The Argument Against Female Cops: Satirical (But Also Kind of Not?)

Now, before the #NotAllWomenCops hashtag starts trending, let’s examine why some people (cough misogynists cough) might argue that women shouldn’t be police officers:

  1. "Women Are Too Nurturing!"

    • "A real cop would’ve tackled that bike-wielding maniac!"

    • Meanwhile, male cops are out here shooting people over traffic stops, but sure, let’s blame the woman for not escalating.

  2. "Women Aren’t Physically Strong Enough!"

    • Never mind that most policing is de-escalation, not WWE smackdowns.

    • Also, have you seen a soccer mom fighting for the last Black Friday TV? She could take down three suspects with a coupon book.

  3. "Women Freeze Under Pressure!"

    • Unlike male cops, who famously never panic, like that time an entire SWAT team hid outside Uvalde Elementary while kids were being shot.

    • But sure, this one woman is the problem.

The Real Issue: Bad Policing Isn’t Gendered

Female Cop Suspended- Let’s be real—plenty of male cops have also stood around doing nothing during violent crimes (cough Uvalde cough). The problem isn’t women in policing; it’s cowards in policing.

But sure, let’s focus on the one female officer who failed, instead of the thousands of male officers who’ve done far worse.

What’s Next?

  • Miami PD will likely retrain the officer—or just assign her to desk duty, where the most dangerous thing she’ll face is boredom.

  • Twitter debates will continue, with men arguing that only they should have guns, despite all evidence to the contrary.

  • Florida Man will still be the real threat to public safety, but nobody’s banning him.

Final Thought

Maybe instead of asking "Should women be cops?", we should ask:

"Should cops actually do their damn jobs?" But hey, that’s just crazy talk.
